Helps Ministries

Advance

The ADVANCE Team is comprised of volunteers trained in first aid/ CPR/ AED, and Security procedures, they assist Security officers and have many critical responsibilities helping people and support for ministries during services.

The HUB

The HUB is a casual meeting place where members and visitors regularly gather before and after services over a "FREE cup of coffee"  sharing life together! The HUB is Cornerstone's resource outlet making available to our members and attenders CDs, DVDs, and gifts for their spiritual development and enjoyment. Volunteers are needed to serve as hosts and cashiers in helping to make our new environment warm, friendly and inviting.

Connect Greeters

Greeters welcome and make contact with each person entering into the doors of our sanctuary/ building. The love, joy and appreciation greeters share helps prepare the hearts of each one entering the service to receive further ministry.

Connect Host

Connect teams are in place in each section of the church's sanctuary to welcome and minister to all who come to our services. Connect Hosts may also volunteer to assist in receiving the offering and to make a follow up phone call to visitors at CFC.

Cultivators

Cultivators serve by taking the people who respond to an altar call to a prayer room where they can give literature, acquire names and addresses and offer further ministry to the individual. Cultivators also make follow-up calls to those who make a decision for Jesus Christ in our services.

Food Pantry

A ministry of Cornerstone Family Church that help gather, stock and distribute food and necessities to help meet emergency needs of those who are actively involved as members and attenders of the church.

Maintenance & Housekeeping Ministries

A vital ministry! Your help is needed in ongoing cleaning and projects involving responsibilities such as construction, painting, repairs and general contracting types of work. With your help we can maintain and make improvements to our church facilities

Medical Service Team

The Medical Service Team is comprised of volunteer registered nurses, that support the Security Team by assisting during medical emergencies.

Operations Desk

The Operations Desk (Ops Desk) supports the Security and Parking ministries with radio dispatch and answering telephones.

Parking Ministry

During weekly services Cornerstone uses up to 8 separate parking lots in the adjoining office complex. The parking ministry assists the people of Cornerstone and our visitors by directing them in and out of the appropriate parking areas, and offering van shuttle service in severe weather. The parking ministry also serves as our first contact with those coming to church and thus functions in a “greeters” role as well.

Photography

This ministry affords the opportunity to document our history. We take pictures at all special events which helps us promote future events at CFC.

Prayer Groups

There are a wide variety of prayer groups open for individuals to join. Interested persons should contact the prayer leader of the group or prayer coordinator to learn more of the focus and flow of the group.

Prayer Leaders

Prayer leaders are responsible to direct the flow of the various prayer groups that are currently meeting and new groups which will be started in the future. Prayer leaders meet together on a monthly basis for training and instruction in addition to meeting with their particular groups.

Security

Security officers receive intensive training and provide assistance in various security concerns of the church body and facilities. The Operations Desk is manned by a receptionist before and during services to take phone calls and coordinate communications between head connect host and security team.

Small Group Leader/ Assistant

Small group leaders lead the free market groups of Cornerstone. The candidate leader goes through initial training where the vision of their group is approved and vision is explained. Ongoing monthly training and coaching support is provided to each small group leader. Small group brochures and directory are available giving more details on the small groups at Cornerstone.

Sunday School Ministries

A variety of opportunities are available to serve through being part of an Adult Sunday School Class.

Audio Ministry

The audio ministry is responsible for the duplication of DVDs and video recordings of our services. This ministry helps the teaching ministry of Cornerstone spread beyond our own church walls into cars, homes and other communities. There are many ways and times in which you can serve.

Television Ministry

The Television ministry is a visual extension of the vision of Cornerstone Family Church. We are called to help people find their lives in Christ, teaching them how to live for Him. Teaching is perfecting, perfecting involves bringing the Word to people in a manner that inspires growth. The media of Television allows us to take our perfecting assignment outside the walls of this Church into the homes of the multitudes, touching peoples lives in Des Moines, the State of Iowa and through satellite networks to the World.

Van Ministry

The Van Ministry provides rides for individuals and families for services on Sundays and for Youth on Wednesdays. Drivers with an excellent driving record are needed.
